Getting back on my prompt posting trend.

Weekly prompt: Reality, or our perception of it, defines our world. Today we examine how our characters experience reality, whether or not that perception is accurate.

As always, the time restriction is 20 minutes.

Too many of my books are going to have to have a thank you to #LeverageRedemption and it's primary show as I watch that it over and over while I write. It is a perfect balance of auditory cues, gags and I've watched it so many times I know what is happening on screen with the music.

Having been at one of those signings, I'm so so glad that you soldiered through. You were a delight and so much fun to listen to!

Or read the O.G. Wizard's Hall that I still don't know how they didn't win a court case on that.

Did I read @tkingfisher.com's A House with Good Bones and immediately get inspired to write a 7.5k horror story about a forest that eats people? Yes. Yes I did. Thank you. I think this is some of the best horror I've ever read.

Today's #prompt is feedback. Good or bad, constructive or frivolous. People can incorporate or overcome. Let's write about feedback.

a tired girl in a leather coat, a giant tree, the phases of the moon, the magic electric ball, a girl blowing fireflies and a man at the end of the dock all are on a white background with a wings motif with the quote - "It was the pixies, it was always the f-ing pixies who run"

BMG-MOON-MD-04 Lair of Deceit - D&D Adventurers League | Dungeon Masters Guild Lair of Deceit A Moonshae Isles: Malefic Delusions Adventure Amnian ships have been spotted sailing far from the isle o

At some point, Lair of Deceit turned into a Copper best seller! (Baby steps, I'm excited). Thank you to anyone that bought it, and let's push to Silver!!

PS. This would be a good retrofit to "She is the Ancient" or any horror campaign.

Tonight's weekly #writingprompt is girl dinner. It's a couple of pop tarts, it's Doritos and mountain dew, it's a pint of ice cream.

Last week we had group off, so have a fun #prompt from a couple of weeks ago.

For a while, I lived far away and knew we were moving back so I wasn't buying books. I used a kindle at my husband's begging. He thought he won.

We moved back

I proceeded to buy all the books I couldn't. I am out of room on my shelves. Are you a book hoarder or digital reader?

Today's #writing #promt is a one line prompt, "If it's tourist season, why can't we shoot them?". Often called out in the tourist traps of America playing on the stereotypes of hunting seasons like deer and duck. Write about tourists or tourism.

#writing prompt: Today we write about joy. Things that bring happiness like a sunrise, a good book or a small kitten falling asleep on you. What things do you or your characters take joy in?

#writingprompt: Stolen glory. Whether it is someone taking advantage of your hard work, or finding an easy way to score points. What are times that you or your character had their moment of glory stolen from them or stole it from someone else?

Alexios, I finished editing the manuscript that you left out. You need to start telling me that you’re grateful for me being around more than once a week. I’m a delight. Bask in my greatness. I think you should at least consider my changes.

Several photos on a background with wings, a tired looking woman, a tree, a woman blowing sparks into the street, a man at the end of a pier, one of those magic eightballs, and phases of the moon.

#writingcommunity, are you someone that finishes your projects, no matter how long it takes, or are you someone who will set an expectation that it will never be completed and walk away?

Two years ago I agreed to help out on a project. There was no deadline, no compensation, just royalties. I kept trying but things kept getting in the way. Other paid obligations with hard deadlines, a wedding. I turned it in today and feel like a weight has been lifted. Here's to finishing projects!

The writing in #theresidence is so tight and connects so well, more mystery writers should study it. It's so reminiscent of #AgathaChristie I would be surprised if the writer didn't have a stack of her novels by their bed. Truly a modern day #Poirot. I loved it so much and need like 10 more seasons!

Today's #writing #prompt: Angel investing, Kickstarter, gofundme, all of these involve giving money for a hope that you will help someone or get something in return. Let's write about the highs and lows of investing and crowd funding.

Tonight's #writing #prompt is the flip of the previous. Natural talent will sometimes show itself in the unlikeliest places. Everyone has something that they are good at that does defies logic. What are you or your characters good at through a natural talent?

#writing #prompt Five alarm fire - all available units are requested to appear on the scene. Additional support for the firefighter's well-being will be called. This prompt is about emergencies and how we or our characters handle them.

Awesome, thanks! Especially if you have anything after the 2000s because he stopped at that point XD

My shopaholic weakness is books with pretty sprayed edges. I'm a sucker for them, and will buy a book that I don't know anything about just for those pretty pretty edges. Bonus points if purple.

What about you?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! I've been waiting on it for forever and I'm really excited to see other people loving on it!

The only reply that comes to mind is "Yes, but then I was a child and now I know better on both accounts."

#WritingPrompt This week it's another one line prompt, "Hard work beats talent every time." Write about how your characters or you work hard and overcome lack of talent in a certain area.
