Each to their own! 🤣🤭

Only 10? 🤭. I just now had to block some men who got excited over some mushrooms! 🤷♀️
Thanks. Yes, I can see that, this was a man not from the area, who clearly sees the countryside as a an opportunity to zip through on a jolly to keep fit!
The Rabbit
It may not be cool to show a clip of a rabbit but I can honestly say that recently I have seen more Otters, Weasels & Stoats around these parts, than I have the humble rabbit.
There's been wave upon wave of virus over recent years & I'm so pleased to have a dozen or so about the place.

Bluebells
Beautiful Spring walk 😊.
White bluebell
More
A little patch of wild native white bells amongst the blue! A natural genetic mutation occurring once in at least every 10 000.
Agreed.

Bluebells 🥰
Bicycle sadly, must have been doing 40/50 mph, in all the glorious Lycra you can imagine 🤢, he nearly knocked me over.
I love how characterful they are too ☺️.
Yes, very savage, naturally.
Yes! Me too! I recall even during the pandemic, people talking about things turning wilder in just a couple of years!
It’s like nobody even knows about them! So many hidden places of exquisite beauty and peace here left undisturbed for centuries.
I’ve just stumbled across acres of bluebells in another ‘enchanted’ wood along a footpath on my evening walk 🥹. They are on the other side of the path too, all along, for a huge distance! I’ve never seen so many, anywhere! It was breathtaking, I wasn’t expecting it! Quite overwhelmed! 🥰
Sometimes, cyclists annoy me even more than cars.
A cyclist speeding down the narrow lane on a racer just now, at ridiculous speeds, absolutely sickening. No wonder there’s squashed great crested newts here.
Painting of cuckoo flowers.
Cuckoo Flower, Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
So sunny and warm here I’ve made some cloudy lemonade and added a dash of the rhubarb cordial I made! So refreshing! 😋

Orange-tips keep on coming in the garden. This one enjoying a cowslip 🦋
Red mason bee?
A red mason bee possibly, on a dandelion near the insect house 🐝

Confirming he’s fine, been watching him forage for food and hop about enthusiastically with his partner. This is the sunspot I often sit to soak up some sun! It must be exhausting feeding those chicks! 🐣
Chaffinch
Oops nodded off!!
How funny!!! This chaffinch was sunbathing and fell asleep!! 😂. I thought the worst at first, as he wasn’t moving, but when I sat next right to him he finally woke up and flew away, fine! Phew!! 😆
I read they’re a sign of healthy soil and are crucial for forming beneficial symbiotic relationships with plant roots. The common spotted orchids grow next to and amongst this ☺️
Mushrooms, 2-3 cms wide and 5cms tall
Underneath has similar coloured gills
A cluster of these mushrooms have just sprung up in the wildflower meadow 🍄🟫
For those who have seen my latest post of the picture I took of the Cuckoo flower meadow for #WildflowerHour & #CabbageFamily. This video shows how beautiful this place is, even with drizzle.

Happy #WorldCurlewDay!
A bit of a day of puzzlement today - saw 2 things I didn’t have time to identify! What looked like a bumblebee with a very strange shape on it that tunnelled into the ground, and a high-flying raptor I couldn’t make out! Mysteries keep life interesting I guess!
