A lovely picture of an arched wooden door in a grey stone wall. The wall is covered with green ivy and there are two red toadstools in front of the bottom of the door
The back of the stone with text: Northumberland Rocks on Facebook! Post picture keep or rehide Mel ♥️
On the u3a natural history walk we came across this rock, which is very artistically painted. It was up near the Drake Stone above Harbottle and we left it for others to see. Whoever Mel is, it brought a smile to our faces!

Fascinating new study shows that looking at paintings is a health tonic. It slows us down, in a good way.

'Over a year into the new Labour government, health and care services are still under massive strain. Too many people are waiting too long for care or struggling to navigate fragmented services.' Hugh Alderwick, Director of Policy at the Health Foundation
Responding to Care Quality Commission’s State of Care report, @hughalderwick.bsky.social says government is right to talk of shifting care out of hospital and strengthening care in the community but with detail lacking and resources limited, a more concrete plan is needed⬇️

A very sad loss, and her instrumental was in providing the next step of the London Age Friendly journey
We were very sad to recently hear about the passing of Professor Anthea Tinker CBE. In the UK & globally, she made an enormous contribution to the study of gerontology. For us, her 2015 report 'An Age-Friendly City: How far has London come?' was hugely important. www.kcl.ac.uk/news/in-memo...
