There have already been as many SVR+TOR issued in Wisconsin from January 1 - April 18 as the previous 12 years combined during that same timeframe

Supercell approaching Lake George yesterday evening (4/16/2026).

As the sun dipped below the horizon, a layer of fog developed above the cold lake surface. The storm weakened somewhat on approach, but still had beautiful structure and lightning.

Sure didn't feel like April in New York.

OTD 11 years ago, April 16, 2015, Juston Drake and I documented a multivortex tornado over wheat fields near the community of Miami, Texas. After this dissipated we documented a 2nd twister from another cell near Sayre, Oklahoma.

This was just a couple weeks ago btw. The same area that just saw a tornado likely just had another.

Brief TDS south of Machias (definitely not mad that I was just down there on a chase last month or anything)

Broad rotation no surprise this spawned a waterspout. Also getting large hail (by western WA standards) from friends downtown.
