A perfect spring day to start tree planting at Milgarholm Park, Irvine with #WoodlandWakeup delivering woodland activities. Big thanks to the #asylumseekers and youngsters for their efforts. #ayrshireclimateactionhub
Spring is approaching and it was great to have our nursery #volunteers back to start propagation. Branch cuttings taken from montane Willow stock trees Salix lapponum/ myrsinifolia from Southern Uplands and root cuttings from Aspen stock trees from our national clone collection.
We had a very pleasant surprise when Lucy from #NatureFix presented amazing tree bags upcycled from waste materials by #Remode. A big THANKS.

It is an honour to supply some Galloway #aspen clones to the Garden of Cosmic Speculation #charlesjencks to replace an avenue of Black Poplar to which forms part of a feature called "Bloodline". Appropriate as these trees represent the bloodline of the wild Galloway population.
