It was wonderful to welcome 80 people to the YNU's annual conference in York last Saturday to discuss means and methods of increasing the recording effort of some of Yorkshire's under-recorded taxon, and improve the quality of records sent in to our volunteer county recorders.

YNU members at their 2025 AGM
Organised by Yoredale Nats (www.yoredalenaturalhistory.com), YNU held their 2025 AGM last Saturday. A good day was had by all, with 50 members attending and outgoing President Derek Whiteley's presidential address promoting the 'other' National Park in Yorkshire - the Peak District!
