Like this place maybe?
(Not been there, but trying to get my son to give it a try)

We were, in retrospect, quite vulnerable in an age before mobile phones. If anything had happened to us, how would our parents have been able to contact us, or us them?
As soon as your kids are old enough to be out without you, a phone becomes a piece of safety equipment.
For sure, and from when M and E could talk, I started teaching them their home address and my mobile number
Isn’t it 💙
Spotting a few Cuckoo flowers is easy; finding a sea of them feels like magic—just right for this week’s #CabbageFamily challenge #WildflowerHour
I have one bluebell out, but not in the most scenic part of the garden..
This week’s 8-song shuffle theme is… thinking 🤔
Because our Ruth couldn’t think of a theme 😂 So get your thinking cap on & send in your song suggestions.

Pic shows soft pink cherry blossom against a bright blue sky
A difficult autism day
But I did get to take a snap of some gorgeous cherry blossom.

Definitely 😊
Oh no
I don’t agree with the “we” used by people in rural areas either
I think nuance matters
Especially when there is a need for calm heads
But the “we” is misleading as many people in urban areas also benefit from state transfers
The ruins of a Saxon church atop a grassy mound, with blue sky and white fluffy clouds behind. The different building materials used can be seen in the remains of the walls. In the centre, there is just a hint of an arch. Above which rises the remnants of the tower. We are looking East.
Looking through silver birch tree trunks over a body of water which is reflecting the blue sky and clouds in its surface. It is a serene image.
Visited these glorious places yesterday. Fresh air, no people and so peaceful. #TinyJoys
A few weeks earlier B and I attended the #HeatOrEat disability protest about the removal of the fuel subsidies
I didn’t see any of the angry men that day
#Disability
I can nearly sense it❤️
Wonderful, we all need that sometimes ❤️
It was said here too, and parroted by too many
I used to tell them that living with covid doesn’t mean you have to catch it
And I stand by that
Inflammatory, divisive and a gross generalisation
You’d think all Leo’s years in politics would have taught him that
a) you don’t say things like that
And
b) they’re not true
FFS
Gorgeous
Impossible then
Well that would be exciting
I never thought I’d say this, but I’m very happy that B is back enjoying the Teletubbies. There’s so many episodes, and I’m soooo tired now!

A literary future?
It’s happening to some of my friends. I haven’t lost them completely, but we can’t easily talk politics or social issues any more
I like that theory 😊
I was so depressed yesterday I had one bottle of beer last night to take the edge off it
And I slept like a baby for 8 hours and feel great this morning.
Why do things that are bad for you sometimes make you feel better?

Automatics are not proper cars. You don’t “drive” them, and I found being behind the steering wheel in an automatic dull and miserable.
But since driving is becoming as unfashionable as smoking, maybe that’s not a bad thing!

1. I’ve started the spring cleaning : with B’s room of course
2. My favourite tree in my garden is currently weighed down with pink and white blossom
3. Our longtime home hairdresser and friend trimmed our locks, ready for the summer heat. Cos you never know!
