It's Sable for today's #AwesomeCharacters.
She gives her backstory, but it's all lies (or is it…?) The only thing one can know for sure is that she must have had a million badass, unexplained adventures before and totally unrelated to Alexander's puny fancylad struggles in 1660.

I thought about #AprilAdventure all day, but my struggle (ironic?) was that… I'm not sure Alexander encounters this.
He makes costly choices, but for the most part he finds them easy. Even The Big One.
Other people weigh. Alexander, with his rigid morality, cuts straight through.

Gardener John Rose presents Charles II with a pineapple, 1675. Grown by himself! Big achievement! Immortalized here by Hendrick Danckerts, whose day is today.
Since finding that weird Thomas Fairfax(!? that doesn't look like the Fairfax I know) portrait I am thinking about changing Ingrave's styling a bit. I have a VERY clear picture of his clothes but his face is pretty vague, so I have a lot of room to flesh out his character design. 😆
Small reference collage for Lord Ingrave. A doodle of a dark-dressed serious man with brown hair, slight sideburns, and old-fashioned blackwork on his falling band; Portrait of a Young Man by Gerard ter Borch, painted circa 1663, showing a man in politically ambiguous dress, wearing all black but with such a quantity of ribbon, large cannons, and very fine lace on his falling band, such that he can't be placed as a dandy or as a serious Calvinist; portrait held by Fairfax House reputed to be of Thomas Fairfax and painted circa 1645, but looking nothing like the handsome young general that we know from his more famous portraits, showing a plump middle-aged gentleman with thinning hair on top and thick curls on the side, a small moustache and soul patch, wearing all black with a plain square falling band.
Small reference collage for Lord de Roche. A doodle of a narrow-faced man with long brown hair, a red-feathered hat, and tiny mustache, looking evil; Jacques Laumosnier's painting commemorating the Treaty of the Pyrenees in 1659, focusing on the ostentatiously-dressed French courtiers on the left side of the painting, wearing ribbon-covered petticoat breeches, bright-colored stockings, and gold-threaded capes; Habit Noir by Jean Dieu de Saint-Jean, an engraving from the 1660s, showing a French courtier in short doublet, petticoat breeches, tons of ribbon, huge shoe-bows, lacy falling band and voluminous cape.
Don't have much art for the other two but I can share some inspo!
Ingrave, an athletic 37, is staid, ambiguously Puritan. I was inspired by the politically ambiguous outfit in ter Borch's portrait.
De Roche, ~30, is handsome and jaunty, "impeccably French" in fashion, with a very narrow face.
Though I declared Ingrave "main" for #AntagonistApril, starting with Blackthorne cause he has art! (🧵1/3)
He's thin, very tall, long-limbed (imagine him like he's in Lupin III), off classically handsome/odd yet compelling-looking and flamboyant. Long, dark eyelashes are his most striking feature.

Today’s artist without a (known) birthday: Dutch landscape painter Hendrick Danckerts. Best known for his work in England. Here, Windsor Castle, w/ bathers & (since he's Dutch) cattle, 1679.
In the vicinity of his precious Alexander?? YES!
But like you say, not like on purpose murder, more like manslaughter because I was so mortified that I shed my corporeal form.
Yeah but I also wouldn’t have to live in a messy house because Klein would kill me psychically first
Yeah but all the convenience makes my slovenly bacheloresque existence even more unforgivable!! 🤣
Alexander's pretty judgmental internally but like, he thinks of himself as God and all us mortals naturally don't measure up to him. Hardly our own fault.
Klein isn't normally that judgmental but if it regards the living quarters of his master? Then I am SO not up to standard as a housemate 😂
Tough #AwesomeCharacters…
For all his PitA potential, Alexander might not be THAT bad. I'd be the most scared of his residence attracting his enemies from 1662+ 😬
The real problem is KLEIN. His judgments of my standard of living would be SO INTENSE I would perish just by his brainwave pressure.
such an Anne Shirley-ass thing to say but I hate walking on flower petals. I’m sure it hurts them
I was gonna post Bigfoot photos but i guess I just won't then huh
🤷♂️☺️ Who knows~
