These ones look brilliant but you just know that those metal straws will never ever see a solution of Milton’s, or the inside of a dishwasher.

Here’s a modern Tescos one. “Keeps drinks hot or cold”. Hmm. That little cap on top is the bit that’s going to get bunged up with three week old rotting soup or smoothie or whatever. I can’t see much difference between this and a murder bottle.

Tescos murder bottles are things that look like kilner jars with a permanent straw fixed into the lid. It won't take too many yoghurt smoothies to up the listeria or other bacteria to dangerous levels.
