Although- I do know there are managers/bosses who don't respect work boundaries, and have unrealistic expectations regarding off hours communication. I can see how it might make people anxious if the come from that kind of work history.

I operate under the belief we all have a mutual understanding we will send/reply to work/professional emails according to generic business parameters. i.e. we operate by our individual work hours. I don't expect a reply if that person is outside work.
