Lovely family lunch for my father-in-law’s 89+1, today.

Went for a big walk today and caught up with the last few episodes of @thetrawl.bsky.social. Wonderfully entertaining, as always. But it struck me, if they didn’t say “someone called” I’d probably have a month of my life back from these past few years. I think we can assume that’s their name. 😉

On train from London to Birmingham. The carriage is practically empty despite just about every seat showing as reserved.

Either the booking system has buggered it up, or no one has told me about some serious “Final Destination” shit that’s about to happen …

On my way to London for work. Now, I’m used to chatty/annoying taxi drivers … but getting his phone out at just about every red stop to show me pictures of his family, him as a chef, where he used to work etc…. that’s ‘extra’!

I work for a company where most of my colleagues are a good twenty years or more younger than me. Last night was our Xmas night out. I tried to keep up.
