How do brains work - it needs calories, it’s an energy intensive system. We know that brain is predicting what is happening in the environment. But if your brain isn’t expecting something you won’t see it

From an evolutionary perspective the more successful we are the brain can adapt to the environment. We needed calories to survive. However your brain is lazy and old at times. It wasn’t until 1-2 million years ago we learnt to harness fire and cook food.
