Capturing and sharing the spirit of #LT25UK - one month later.
A little reflective video of my time at Learning Technologies.

Sorry to have missed this due to holidays back then … on (v late!) catch up mode! Looks like a fabulous event 👏👏👏 #LT25UK @mparryslater.bsky.social @fionamcbride.bsky.social love the video coverage @thatmarkgilroy.bsky.social 🎬
A slide titled “what is organizational network analysis”. Underneath is a diagram labelled 'What you normally see'. It shows an organisation chart with a hierarchical structure. Individuals are only connected to others in their teams, and each team appears to work in isolation. Next to it is a diagram labelled 'what an analysis of connections shows'. There are clusters of people from different teams who are all connected with lines, showing the interconnectedness of people and managers across the organisation.
A photograph of Jeppe standing behind microphones on the stage. The Learning Technologies London UK 2025 logo is in front of him. He has a warm, friendly smile on his face. Next to him is a slide with the title 'Contagion happens through connectedness'. At the bottom left of the slide is a person with an arrow labelled '15%'. The arrow points toward a second person in the image, symbolising the energy passed on to them. Another arrow, labelled '10%', points from the second person in the image to a third person, showing how energy is passed through lines of communication.
A slide with the title 'what can you do? #ThreePercentRule. The Innovisor logo is visible at the top of the slide. There are two diagrams of dots connected with lines, representing employees and how they are connected. The first diagram highlights three key people among the organisational networks. The second diagram has circles around the three key people, illustrating their spheres of influence. Together, the three key people are connected to 85% of all employees.
A slide that says 'how to work with the three percent'. There is a horizontal line that's labelled 'formal' at one end, and 'informal at the other. A vertical line passes through the centre of it, with the labels 'structured' at the top, and 'unstructured' at the bottom. 'Leadership and communication' is displayed in the formal - structured quadrant, 'listen and co-create' is displayed in the structured - informal' quadrant, 'sensemaking' is listed in the informal - unstructured quadrant, and 'role-modeling' is listed in the unstructured - formal quadrant. Arrows point from leadership communication, listen and co-create, and role-modeling to the sensemaking quadrant.
I'm still pondering insights shared at #LT25UK by @jeppehansgaard.bsky.social, CEO @innovisor.bsky.social ky.social
Grounded in Dunbar’s Number theory, Jeppe outlined L&D’s need for awareness of social groups in organisations & the benefits of creating high-impact networks. More below👇

Laatteeeee to the party, but excited to dive in. Another #LT25UK advice, two, actually: learn from your failures, read more non fiction.
The hottest topic at #LT25UK was 'AI'. But are we at a stage where organisations can use it practically, effectively AND responsibly to deliver positive impact on learning programmes? And if not, how can we help L&D becoming pragmatists for the use of #AI in learning?
What a week at #LT25UK! 💥
Big thanks to everyone who came by to meet the Saffron team and see AIDA in action – our AI-powered skills coach helping orgs move beyond the AI buzz and into real, skills-based learning.

This is a great share Mike, thank you. I wasnt able to stay for the whole session. #LT25UK
I was very appreciative of this space, even if I only managed a few minutes.

Surprised at how well they managed to cut out the noise.
A good addition to #LT25UK
Reflections on #LT25UK.
Tough times. Real conversations. Fine tech.
The real story? The people of L&D, still trying, still adapting, still human.
Some thoughts on change, trust, and where we fit next.

'What did I learn this week?' was mentioned a few times upstairs and downstairs at #LT25UK.
Stefaan Van Hooydonk suggested (paraphrased) 'fluff up Friday' time too. Chance to celebrate and explore failure. Encourage collective curiousity.
Thank you for being such a great support this year Michelle.
I’ve been inundated with comments and messages saying how great the #LT25uk SoMe team have been doing. ☺️
Ha. Truth! #AI isn't a replacement for human discussion and discernment. Like any tech, use it wisely. #LT25UK
Some final reflections from a brilliant @learningtechuk.bsky.social #lt25uk
See you next year !

If they did, they must have been behind me, 'cos I never saw them.
Great to see you Dana; loved your #SoMe contributions throughout #LT25uk - and in person.
Back home from #LT25uk it always takes it out of me but such a great experience nevertheless.
Here’s a whirlwind tour of the Assima booth at #LT2025! From setup to showtime, we brought serious energy to systems training.

A fridge magnet depicting the Homer Simpson gif, of Homer disappearing by stepping back into a large hedge, as a four panel comic. The text says "Employers when there's a new compliance training."
Had an interesting time at #LT25UK lots of good conversations and inspiring sessions.
I also came away with this fridge magnet which amuses me greatly!
Lovely to catch up Mark. Thank you for capturing & sharing all your fabulous insights of #LT25UK
Well that was fun! Heading home now- with a head full of ideas and about a hundred new friends to connect with. #LT25uk
And that's a wrap on #LT25uk @learningtechuk.bsky.social this year!
Hope you enjoyed this reporting and got ideas from it! Thank you @fionamcbride.bsky.social for assembling such a great team. Till next time!
#T5S6 and that's a wrap! This generous bunch has shared the below resources padlet.com/LauraOverton... #LT25uk @learningtechuk.bsky.social
And that concludes #LT25uk and #T4S6 on sustainability!
Some interesting things to take away and consider.
Go back 10 years what would Mike do differently especially around communication.
Mistake 1 - the message was too top down
Mistake 2 - when it had to lead on 100 commitments it seemed daunting. They then focused on 30 they could lead on and have the biggest impact

That’s a wrap on Day 2! 🎬We had incredible conversations, sparked new ideas, and saw digital training innovation come to life. To everyone we met: thank you. To those we missed: let’s talk : zurl.co/D6U0O

Q&A time.
What’s their experience in empowering locals in the Middle East?
Mike sharing his experience at M&S. Advised they asked them and learnt it was all about community. So started there. Their original mistake was trying to copy and paste the UK initiative into the region.
