#T5S6 and that's a wrap! This generous bunch has shared the below resources padlet.com/LauraOverton... #LT25uk @learningtechuk.bsky.social
The panel in action, 4 speakers sat at a table.
#T5S6 Q&A
How do you get people to think about development more?
J: Great leaders learn, unlearn, re learn all the time. Repetition is key.
A: frame it differently, make people talk.
S: built bespoke e learning w/Easter eggs to engage staff.
L: it goes back to understand how people brains work.
#T5S6 lessons learnt from Jodi,: work out loud, invest in your team, ask for forgiveness rather than permission (within reason π) #LT25uk
#T5S6 As a team, own your priorities and your road map while being in alignment with the org. Be transparent to move freely within the framework. #LT25uk
#T5S6 Stakeholder partnership is key (again echoing Karen Wilson yesterday! So many shared concerns despite working in different industries with different constraints) #LT25uk
#T5S6 selling a vision, introducing structure and clarity and launching the start of something new was the answer.
You need to use your resources in the right way. #LT25uk
#T5S6 how do we engage the reluctant ones? Andy Lancaster takes this away by saying altruism is a powerful success factor. Partnering with senior people who get it, and building small steps is suggested. Connect with people's passion and curiosity.
Look at causes too. #LT25uk
#T5S6 People are your most powerful resource- building relationships is key - echoing panels from yesterday. Leverage learning sciences (design with the brain in mind) #LT25uk
#T5S6 Leveraging technology while weaving in the power of peer learning is suggested here; a big theme at the conference this year: marrying the tech and the human #LT25uk
#T5S6 Russell is now talking about which experiments we can do today with a money starved and time starved audience? It's about driving social learning and working fast on iterations to deliver and pivot quickly. #LT25uk
#T5S6 audience has very good insights:
experienced staff,
our own learners,
marketing resources,
existing learning content and tech
Lessons learnt log and bringing it together. #LT25uk
#T5S6 curation is a big aspect of this no-money resource mindset as well as eaning on your community and your hidden gems #LT25uk
#T5S6 it's about new mindset- tech is more free, people have experience in lots of sectors, have fluid skills....Resource is time, space for reflection, development opportunities, internal growth, expertise....building on existing communities, networks, relationships. #LT25uk
#T5S6 Shanice shares that in the charity sector, resources are linked with money- fundraising, grants, underpaid staff....so traditional capability building is often external. But what would happen if resources were internal assets to be activated? #LT25uk
#T5S6 even with limited resources, you can do amazing things (like in Apollo 13 apparently). Necessity breeds creativity. #LT25uk
