This is a quick urban sketch of the scene sitting above the fountain along St Kilda Rd looking towards the NGV side. Looking at skyscrapers behind construction equipment & statues of blokes is very much everyday life in Melbourne.

Just saying I live with two cats. Status: they're fine.
1. zentangle style doodle in black, sepia, and white pen and shading with graphite pencil on a box made of MDF board. Vaguely organic.
2. Swirling lines in black pen overlaid in part by swirls of pink and blue marker, a bit like a behind view of an ornately stylised but loose and messy hair style.
3. Imagine a rainbow but bright like it was warm, and instead of it being an arch made of lines of colours, it is a squarish shape made of random round shapes of colours surrounded by dark black rounded lines, with no sharp angles, like it was caught between movements.
For #RepostYourArt day 17 the theme is doodle and yeah, I've been a doodler all my life. Did the "learn other types of doodling", continued to do my own, and I was doing neurographic drawing before I'd heard of it.

Watercolour exercise at getting different colours to bleed into each other a bit. The image is of clouds touching each other at different points in non traditional colours such as purple, blue, yellow, pink, and green. Where some of the clouds touch the cloud colours blend.

I guess it would be cosy drinking tea in the basket of this old fashioned kinda steampunk balloon, floating above all the horrendous and ongoing problems of the world.

Theme 10 for #RepostYourArt is #pencil this was a couple of years ago. The idea was to improve by attempting to depict difficult subjects. As mediaeval artists prove, cats are the most difficult subject in all art.
