Had a nice early morning walk along the canal, nice and still, saw some Dear, Herons and Cormorants, very nice. Got back and completed the tracks for the Sherman. A nice size to work on, just three parts. #histscalemodels

I think it missed the attack....

Thats looking nice. I usually do a semi gloss for decals and washes then a matt overall finish.

Initial building phase done, some bits to go on when top finish is done. Tracks to sort, they don't look problematic. A top hatch is spring loaded, the issue is the loops aren't strong enough to hold the springs. Great! Ive removed them and will have the hatch open. #histscalemodels

Cheers Stef. Back on the early days of armour. Was more aircraft back then.

Yes, theres two springs to go in the hatch cover, the bracket with the holes to attach it extend too far. I'll see what I can do.

Some more done with the 1/16 Sherman. Hatches fitted, there is an issue with the small hatch, to open it fully which is what I want I'll have to do some cutting out. Poor really as its a open and close feature #histscalemodels #scalemodels

The upper and lower sections of the turret were a very poor fit, had plenty of glue and clamps on all day. The turret has casting detail, due to sanding down It lost some detail. I have used some Vellejo plastic putty and tippled the casting pattern back in. #histscalemodels #scalemodels

More work done, the lower hull and top hull sections under way. There's still loads to go on from the sprues. These are just fit together to check for alignment and not glued yet. No issues so far. #histscalemodels #scalemodels

Going back pop pickers to 2011, This Jagdpanther was one I liked. 1st one I really thought was a decent weathering attempt.
