I think the verb "to inch" is great. I mean, you can't force that to be metric can you?

I'm inching closer to starting to properly plan "The Seventh". This follows "Skirmishes and Schisms", though not immediately.
Once I have ensured all versions of The Cleansing are at the correct stage, I'll have the right rhythm going.
I'm not a great planner, but I need to be better.

It's difficult when some things in life just... are.
Maybe go on a walk in loose-legged trousers and experience them, or something? See how they feel to you, how they reflect or absorb the light etc. Just an idea.
I'm not sure how to describe this. Across the middle of the landscape-oriented rectangle is deep blue strip which has a shadow along the top and bottom edges. In white, capital letters in the centre of the image - and the strip - is the word "Familiarity". Behind the title script are various, obscured so now abstract black and white hand-drawn shapes, though the background appears mountainous and there is a being of some description in front of those mountains as upper and lower arms can be seen.
I've been able to schedule next week's early-access chapter of The Cleansing on Patreon and Ko-Fi.

It's been a rough week with my general health and pain levels.
But I have managed to write ~1200 words (by hand, hence approximate) for my #serialfiction.
If I could just douse the brain fog, I could write much more.
It's hard to write when your brain fires in 10 different directions.

All the indie authors who use AI for their covers because “what am I supposed to do, I can’t afford an artist” would probably have a melt down if artists did paintings and had AI write books to go with the paintings.

I had a meds review for my #chronicpain and dosages have been tweaked.
This week, I have managed to type up some serial fiction, and I've started a "chapter sketch".

I hadn't intended on being of social media this long. My chronic pain and fatigue have been frustrating and I've ended up crashing out on the sofa, rather than out in the office.
And I had forgotten I'd removed the Bluesky app from my phone. I don't even remember why.
I've been #writing though.
I've had my head in some woodwork the last few days, but my brain is whirring on a few story elements coming up in The Cleansing.
Next week I have to sit down and do some planning for a new novel-length piece. With the way my tales work, more coffee than normal will be needed!

I have to remind myself sometimes that WA is primarily a World-building site, and they can't bring all their awesome features to every aspect, just because I want to use Manuscript /and/ Article format.
I'm having to battle a bit with @worldanvil.com's old-school WYSIWYG editor that's in their manuscripts feature, but I'm slowly migrating chapters in now.
The cleansing in quasi "book-form" is up to Chapter 11 as of now.
