I suddenly have a need for a hand-held object to miraculously appear late in the second act of Shallow Trenches, Open Skies.
The solution?
Add a note to act one to make one of the main characters decent at slight-of-hand.

Didn't get quite as far today as I had hoped, but it turned out there were a few more details I needed to work out. Tomorrow will be a short day, but I'm still hoping to get close to the 3rd plot point.
