they're a bird shapeshifter (just a bird shapeshifter), based on the likely extinct bird species that i had an interest for a while now.
Sort of a spiritual successor to an earlier thing from 2024 for the actual canon Dracoghouls that I have in mind, now I realised something similar with both... T_T

Though to be fair, its technically an open species (no opposition really to seeing someone else doing it all themselves under this species label), so you can make some of your own. I won't hold my breath for those to come though.
I will do another one for #550 to #599 when I get there. While it might be boring to see repeats of the same species drawn, I describe it as personal fun to draw while my mind isn't working on something else in particular.
And no, they're not adoptables (I will never give them away + no plans)

A redesign of the character Vyper from the game Deadlock. Here she is more leaning towards the Naga/Gorgon bodytype with a snake tail and a cobra inspired head. Her outfit is inspired by street gangs and prisoners, she has a white crop top and an orange suit tied around her waist, and a blue scarf as a a nod to another character in the game. She fights with a uzi gun, wielding sideways and she has enchanted bolas in the other hand. A bag with poison vials is also hanging around her arm.
I have been obsessed with the game Deadlock lately so here's a redesign sketch of an old character that didn't get an update yet, Vyper! I hope you like my interpretation!
I think in practice, I do have a few main characters I like to mess around — Ogmau is one I usually draw out of the many characters of this species.
But uhhh to say something about how I remember them, I actually hold a list in the album in the photos app and doc for these characters for a reason.
Same person also complained of me for not really stretching out or using these characters in different situations other than standing up together.
Got annoyed with the compliments and increasingly odd comments from them about my original species’ feet that I blocked them in the end.
That’s the fun part. Since these are not main characters till I make them, they’re something handy in the future. I don’t give them away like adoptables.
I once had one person complain about the fact that I should only have a few main characters and put them in a comic because of that.
Also I can't believe that this is getting likes and reposts on some occasion. Like, I'm not active a lot as I used to be here compared to last year - but its cool to see there's a bit of interest in this cockatrice dinosaur concept.
Oh yeah, I plan to post a compilation of 50 head portraits of the lower sections tomorrow. I did these for the sake of hypothesising what they'd look like if they weren't draconified.

A reference sheet of a fictional scansoriopterygid species OC (similar to Yi qi but bigger) with its own species stuff on top of it, because I would not bother to make another one without having personal issues of me not being fast enough to finish writing things. The character is fashioned to be that of a cockatrice, a chimera of a rooster and serpent in mythology and fantasy.
