A portrait of a light green dragon with a teal headcrest with a yellow spiked stripe through his crest, which has a few spikes. He has a white mane with sides, more so stylised to be a human beard (though his scalp also has hair), with teal eyes, sabre teeth and mammalian-styled ears. He wears a green coat.

Another portrait and uh, villain.

Might not post the third dragon portrait tomorrow over here, its basically styled like a mugshot and that pertains to the worldbuilding stuff of feral!Dracoghouls. But liked that one.

Well its about time I got back into dragons... Though I got errands to close concerning my crazy side non-Dracosphere project. Very committed to now doing images.

Hopefully it'll be all over by the end of April....

New: Sounds of the Dracoghoul

Vocal stuff. They sound obviously alien to human ears (don't sound like movie/TV dragons at all - hence the "ghoul" part), but they can also imitate human "voices".

Dunno what to put in this post so...

These are "ghoulified" Naric draconian character designs that I forgot to do for October 2025.

And Naric ghouls are not "undead", actually. Its a mistranslation of the word "gnarak".

Took me 14 hours to finish and from late January 2026. A scene in which there's this tourist section of the beach reserved for arriving dragons dedicated by human residents.

A scene in which a light green-scaled feral draconian (standing upright) wearing full gear is holding up a sci-fi rifle to the right of a battlefield of guerrilla forces. Standing behind them is a giraffe, positioned in an angle that makes the dragon in question shorter than the giraffe itself - to contradict the imposing power of traditional dragons being large. In the background are tall grass, a moving armoured vehicle and a bunch of shrubs and two acacia trees.

No giraffes were harmed. The giraffe is a focal point for my experimental attempt to do a lower angle - this is meant to reinforce the shortness of feral!Dracoghouls.

New: A Brief History of the Dracoghouls
Finally got to piece it all together after being an idea from August, covering snippets of Nari history. This took 35 hours over three months.

I consider it a benchmark to doing a new batch of references but not sure just yet. There won't be biographies of text on other refs that I have though.

Well its done now. I’ll need to do an obligatory large writeup however for other places, but here is the “completed” final piece.

It started in August as an idea, began working on November and finished it after 3 months - and 35 hours of work in the whole piece.

An update to the final part of the overdue piece - completing the background. The Dracoghouls have spread themselves thousands of light years across the Milky Way over the next 42,000 years.

Hence this setting is not on Drachor but of a settled world that was terraformed.

Now I’m getting to the final part of this overdue piece!

This time, we jump ahead to the “present” day of the Dracosphere project - 42,000 years later, where draconians and ghouls now just coexist as two distinct (sub)species within the single Dracoghoul race (or species).

I haven’t exactly given up on that general fashion guide.

So heres a teaser of a part of it being outlined.

Its basically what happens when you bake a species that wears clothes for years that becomes a habit and then formalising what is written into a ref sheet or something.

This was supposed to represent a point where Naric draconians in the Dracoghoul species dominate Drachor after a long war… but I feel like it is also the weakest point of this piece. Another cityscape didn’t feel right so heres a boring BG.

A depiction of four feral Draconians (Dracoghouls) with their full outfits. Feral Dracoghouls are typically drake-like (dragons without wings) in body configuration.

- top left: Feathshaag, a red-scaled draconian with maroon eyes, a short dark mane and ridges who wears a khaki-colored uniform and cape accompanied by goggles.
- top right: Bryk, a pale cyan-scaled draconian with earfins, blue eyes and small horns with his snout, accompanied by his armoured wear and uniform with a scarf and goggles.
- bottom left: Crogdrasdekroo (Krokdres), a bright blue-furred draconian with long brown hair, blue eyes and long sabre teeth. She wears a coat.
- bottom right: Rurrgnarl, only showing half of his body while standing upright, a dark teal-scaled draconian with a hybrid pterosaur-hadrosaur headcrest and dark mane. He wears a suit/coat with a scarf.

A scene composed of various feral Naric draconians (Dracoghouls) in the middle of an established trailer park with a ventilated warehouse containing a generator, a water tank, a fridge and a bunch of building materials for construction. It is set in a tropical, wet area. There is a table with a map of a planned draconic colony, an open journal, a stack of two books, planks of wood, and a cup. Between the tables are a white feathered draconian with pink head plumage and purple feathered wings holding a pencil to decide something from their head on the left, a green-scaled draconian on the right grasping a hammer that wears a coat. Both of the dragons are standing upright rather than on the ground. Surrounding both of the drakes are three other draconians hauling materials or planning alongside with the focal characters in question.

Fourth part of the major piece is almost done. This part is meant to reflect the industrialisation of Drachor through warfare (kind of common in fact) and a but of decadence into it.

The fifth one will be… a bit different.

They are anthro/humanoid alien dragons known as the Nari or as a variant of the Naric ghoul, Dracoghouls.

Clawkite Gaarn | F, 194 cm (6’4”), Tropical
A light peach-feathered tropical draconian with long white hair, red hair, and long rounded ears. She has short horns, long canine teeth and a sharp beak, with two-layered wing feathers and a medium-short tail.

Eglūtsnarken Selarch | F, 157 cm (5’2”), Astral
A light green-scaled astral draconian with long grey scalp hair, dark purple eyes and a bent, rounded beak. Eglutsnarken is one of the rarer female draconians (“yepkeni” in Nari) to be able to grow a beard, making them appear masculine on the surface, though she would identify as a female in a human sense. Eglutsnarken has a short tail and white ventral scales along her torso.

Lithel Ristlowa | F, 176 cm (5’9”), Alpine
A caramel-furred alpine draconian with long brown hair, medium-sized antler-horns and brown eyes. Lithel has long rounded ears, a short beak and a medium-short tail.
