Thanks π.
I waited until the mugs were leather hard to use the roller, and then I also supported the inside of the wall with my other hand.
I'm still figuring out the best level of firmness, though lol.
Too wet and they warp.
Too dry and they just break lol

I'm definitely loving how these texture rollers are working π.
They really help to give a little more interest to ordinary mugs π.

Thanks π
It's one of my favorites π
I bought some fun texture rollers and have been playing with them π.
I love how this turquoise glaze breaks over them π.
Anyway... as you were π

Oooooh, very nice π
Thank you π€.
Just noticed the flowers on my pawpaws!!! π.
They seem to be really late this year lol.
Pics 2 and 3 are from last year.
Pawpaws (Asimina Triloba) are one of the most delicious temperate climate native fruits in the Midwest.

That is probably what I'll do too π€£π€£π€£
Thanks π.
I'll think of some craft project to use the broken pots for.
Cuz the pots themselves are intact π.
I'm also 100% happy to explain/describe the process I use in great detail if you want to chat in DMs sometime π.
And other methods too, cuz I've tried a lot, and just settled on the one that works best for me lol.
There's lots of videos on YouTube π.
Just search
*Wild clay processing*
Lots of different methods too.
I did a short video on my preferred method about a month ago, but the method you use sometimes depends on what equipment you have or can affordably get.
Fortunately, I've been making and breaking pottery long enough that I can identify what went wrong just by looking at them lol.
So I'm gonna make some more and test my theories π.
It's always a good idea to NOT eat things when you're not 100% sure what they are π.
Goumiberry is in the silverberry family.
It's very similar in appearance, flower, and aroma to the Autumn and Russian Olive, but it produces a lot more fruit π.
It's one of my favorites π
After the sad kiln opening this morning, I really needed a pick me up, and these Goumiberries are the perfect sweet treat π.

Thank you βΊοΈ
Other than the obvious carnage π, I really like the color too π
So, unfortunately, I didn't weld the fancy handles on good enough, and they fell off during the firing π’. (Some other issues as well)
Lesson learned, lol.
But the others survived π(pic 2).

I'll be opening the kiln later this afternoon π
Thanks βΊοΈ.
They're probably the coolest handles I've ever made π
Thankooz βΊοΈ
Oh, I totally will π
Thank you βΊοΈ
Thanks π.
It's probably my favorite too π
I've been obsessed with bronze age pottery lately and made these while my insanity was running wild π.
Hopefully they survive the kiln tonight π.

From the earth, into greenware, into earthenware, into stoneware π.

Oh, I'll definitely do it again π
Glad you like it, cuz that's the one I made from scratch π.
The others came out of a bottle lol.
Also in yesterday's firing were these mugs π.
Mugs are like the bread and butter for a small batch potter lol.
I've made about 5,000 of them to date π.
