Life shouldn't be a competition, it should be a community activity.
The people who treat it as a competition are the ones terrified of being picked off in old age by the young, like they did to their elders, that's why they burn the bridges and fight to take away people's rights and healthcare.

Work to transform the old library building into apartments has apparently revealed human remains. I assume this means the cemetery of the Franciscan Friary over the road occupied an area larger than I had thought. Or there’s been a murder.
I’ll update on the body in the library when I know more…

Lush with wild garlic and primroses, the last of the daffs and some very keen bluebells, this is the churchyard of St Michael’s on Greenhill, Lichfield which is very much living up to its name

Art in progress, ink lines on white paper shows a person holding embroidery scissors the same size as them, holding the round handle like huge eyeglasses peering through with a smile made of running stitch. Sharp dotted wedges dagger towards them in the background.
Latest series of work is me morphing with crafting. Feeling all needled and threaded. Sneak peek of me being a bit snippy. Don't run with scissors! Especially if they're as big as you. #Art #Artist #Crafts #Sewing #Thread #Yarn #Happy #Identity #EveryDayObjectify

If the scale of #litter seems overwhelming, if it seems like no one else notices it, if it looks like no one else cares, don’t lose hope!
Loads of folk DO care.
Take some action & others will follow.
We’re a powerful force.
Litter isn’t normal - Don’t accept it.
Be the difference!

Wowsers. We had sun, rain, wind swirling hail, sun, snow (!) then sun today. One of those four seasons in one day days eh?

These lovelies are currently available on my website.
Each character is unique and designed to look wonderfully weird and perfectly imperfect 🌿

Evening all. Not been feeling too well today, everyone here is loaded with the cold so I haven't been on here much. I'm just coming on to say this little dandelion dish is also available on Folksy.

I finally got to peek into my physical archive today & it was great. All my paper based pieces survived the last move and it was like greeting old friends. Plus I found some pieces I'd forgotten about as they hadn't been photographed. Nothing like touching the real paper to reconnect and recharge.

There's an art documentary on Sky at the moment and they've animated the paintings they're talking about. Because I guess Munch's the Scream isn't interesting enough.

Looking down Derwentwater just near Friars Crag in the Lake District. A cold clear morning with blue sky, white clouds and a white topped hills in the distance. A small fence runs into the water with a some birds sitting on the top of the fence poles. The water has a slight ripple in it giving some partial reflections of the clouds
Mid February morning sunshine at #Derwentwater near #Keswick in the #LakeDistrict. A light dusting of snow on the tops and fluffy clouds and blue sky gave some lovely reflections

Government to lift paywall from large parts of the Land Registry
Exclusive: finding out who owns land will become simpler under plans to make the best use of green spaces and hit net zero targets
VICTORY! Government to open up the Land Registry - bringing to an end a thousand years of secrecy shrouding who owns England.
I’ve been campaigning for this for ten years: the new Land Use Framework, published later today, makes it government policy. 1/

Art with bold ink lines and colour. Trees float in curvy triangles that clump together in the sky. Around them swirls purple blue spinning sky with creamy clouds.
Landscapes or skyscapes? A mirrored pair of ACEO (mini collectable painting) which will be split into their 2 pieces. Recreated from a piece I made several years ago but until I cut this up not sure how it's going to turn out 🤞

Bright colourful painting with ink lines showing curving sky and land. The air and clouds swirl round past citrus coloured mini trees and lush land builds in blocks to meet the curvy horizon.
New mini landscape paintings in progress. These 2.5"x3.5" pieces known as #ACEO (Art Cards, Editions & Originals) are an affordable way to collect #art & support #artists. This mirror pair will be lovingly chopped and in my new #Folksy shop soon.
Also working on new fun series around #crafting 🧵🪡🧶

Fantastic news in the UK today - the government has apparently ditched its plan to force creatives to 'opt out' if they don't want AI companies training on their life's work.
