Just one shepherd’s hut, tucked away in woodland on a quiet #Cumbrian farm. It’s a place for slow mornings, nearby walks and evenings by the fire, with red squirrels occasionally passing through. #Keswick is 20 minutes away for shopping.

A tranquil Lakeland view at Derwent Water, Keswick, Cumbria, England on an overcast winters day across a grey lake to a mountain landscape. In the foreground a wooden jetty leads the eye down the perfectly still lake to the mountains in the distance. The wooden jetty and it's posts and the surrounding scenery are reflected in the calm, still waters of the grey lake. The scenery in the background includes: Derwent Island in the centre, the most prominent island on the lake. It is the only inhabited island on the lake and is owned by the National Trust. It is covered in trees with a boathouse and wooden jetty just visible. The Jaws of Borrowdale in the distance - this is where Borrowdale valley carved by ice, and eroded through thousands of years, is constricted between the steep slopes of Kings How and Castle Crag. The North Western Fells including Catbells and Causey Pike which has a dusting of snow on its summit.
