The ospreys by our house working on their nest. Hopefully, we will have some baby ospreys this summer.

Austin awe.
My son and husband paddling along the Austin skyline after a front row viewing of the largest urban bat colony emerging for the night.
It’s frickin bats! 🦇

smh. How disturbing! Honestly, I had to go check myself because it’s really twisted the lengths fox goes to protect a small man’s ego.
No Kings in Austin has that Texas heart. Absolutely loved the Good Trouble Brass Band.

It’s ridiculous that I planted my ranunculus this weekend. CO might make me regret it, but with the soil temps in the mid 60s, I’m afraid not to. My garden instincts are freaking out with this winter that never came.

83° in Colorado in March. My garden is 5 weeks ahead of normal. My seasonal clock is all out of whack. Even the trees are confused.
Maybe irrational but happy Pi day!

If you rely on Global Entry especially for connections… set up MPC. It saved me at ORD.

Week in Switzerland recap in stitches: touring our PCB labs and working with Rega. This little thread journal has really helped me stay present and off my phone.

Did I need another hobby? Well, no. But I did need something to prevent doom

I’m just so sad. So scared.
I’m up waaaay past my bedtime. Happy New Year!
Trying to get back into my painting practice.

CO snowpack is the lowest on record. Granted the record is only my lifetime, but still. I was fortunate to work on climate change risk algorithms, and unfortunately, it became too hard on my mental health to keep staring at the data. Then winters like this don’t help. I’m a real bummer at parties.
Call me a climate alarmist, but it’s December in Colorado and my tulips are coming up and we’re hiking at 9,000 feet with no snow. My family has been here for over 100 years and never seen a winter like this.
Happy Solstice!
May you find peace in the dark and growth in the light.
I love this time of year, reminding me that even the earth must rest. I think a solstice nap is in order.
So frustrated that Xcel’s response to high winds is just “turn the power off.”After more than $1B in annual profits for five straight years, the lack of meaningful infrastructure is inexcusable. Especially after the Marshall Fire.

What a beautiful idea! You did a great job.
Lovely!
Working on a memorial painting for a truly special pup, and I’m stuck on the background. Nothing feels quite right yet. Any ideas?

Day: meetings. Night: pretending I’m in a Christmas movie.
London, you were magic.

I adore my inherited Christmas decorations. Every single one carries a little bit of family history. These satin push-pin ornaments were the ones my grandpa picked up for my grandma on every work trip to San Francisco. Always from her favorite artist. Handmade. One of a kind. A memory.

15 hats later, I’m finally caught up on all the babies born this fall. Now to get started on the winter arrivals.

Great shot!
