"Siblings, Eternal" (2020 vs. 2025) by Courtney Lee Designs. A side-by-side comparison of an old and new stippling portrait of Courtney with her two brothers. Both portraits show the trio walking away from the viewer, hand-in-hand, inspired by two separate photo references. They're both drawn solely using pointillism techniques, but the newer one is created with much smaller dots, improved value transitions, and more intricate details. There are rainbow paint pours in both versions, yet there is obvious growth in definition, depth, the chosen hues, and grainy paper / canvas textures in the most recent version. Courtney's older brother passed away just over one year ago.
