Today, 82 years ago, the SS separated half of the Theresienstadt Family Camp, the BIIb section of Auschwitz Birkenau. Those 3700 people who arrived six months earlier and were still alive from the original 5000 were sent to gas chambers and murdered.

Six months until the publication of ‘Homophobia in Nazi Concentration Camps’ with @uoftpress.bsky.social The book is an analysis of queer experiences and accusations through the lens of prisoner perceptions. Pre-order now wherever you buy books!
NB: Just a few years ago, pretty much all queer organizations commemorated #HMD. And then most stopped. Among the Holocaust victims were also tens of thousands of queer & trans people persecuted for their sexuality - and millions of Jews. Shame that solidarity is lost in post Oct 7 politicization.
I will have this book event next week on Tuesday in London. In person, in Finchley:
