We say goodbye to Blake Sweeney and thank him for his valuable contributions to Rfam. We are delighted to welcome Pedro Madrigal, who joins us as project leader.

Introducing our new alignment viewer, it provides a scrollable, zoomable and more user-friendly interface to view Rfam families, along with their consensus sequence and secondary structure, It also includes an interactive secondary structure track. Try it out !

New families include 8 new riboswitch candidates, 4 new Pestivirus RNAs and Pestivirus IRES updated, 4 new snoRNAs, 30 Plastid ncRNAs, 10 updated families with 3D, an improved xrRNA family, a permuted tmRNA, a new RsmV member of the Rsm sRNAs, and a Bacteroidetes FopS RNA.
