I thought the chair was doing a good job. More effective than her colleague.

I think I am pretty good at putting my main characters through hell without being depressing.

Judging by what I saw, it seemed like the ALP senator questions were looking for cover for not making a change. Is that how you read it?

Australia often suffers under the foolishness of bipartisanship.

Ah good. I didn’t look deep at all. Just the video. That makes it much more practical. It’d be interesting to see it work overhead as well.

Did he discuss going for a republican held seat rather than being a conservative going for a democratic leaning one?

I’ll duel this arsehole for the fate of humanity. Pretty sure I’ll win.

I would guess it depends on the cost of the ends and how quickly they can be swapped. We also tip our feders in leather and tape.

I feel that people are claiming AI on their stuff just to get financial backing. If they trained in their own motion capture data, then it’s a pretty ethical approach. Vibe coding is more problematic.

I listened while doing exercise this morning and I was very impressed. A month or so back I watched another person presenting at senate on an important topic, but they were so all over the place it didn’t help a good case. Facts must be put into a coherent case. Counter args need to be shot down.

Lots of hand written notes as I tighten the approach to the 75% mark. A whole sequence I had originally planned won’t be happening as the story demanded a tighter focus.

Our refusal to choose to pay for societal needs more about company profits than defence. (Not to say there isn’t a terrible amount of wastage and poor choices in defence procurement etc).

I’m not on board with ‘we don’t need an effective defence force’. If we’re going to disentangle ourselves from the messes of certain partners, it’s more critical now. But how much we spend and what on matters. Europe is currently paying for deciding they didn’t need much of a military.

Then a roadmap to full integration should be part of the design.

@richarddenniss.bsky.social @punterspolitics.bsky.social A fantastic combined appearance at the senate. Both very clear with explanations and ready to deal with claims and questions that would be made on behalf of the gas companies. Others should learn from this when prepping.

My only book’s that can go wide are gamebooks (like choose your own adventure). Is itch only good for certain genre or does it have a broad reader base? Is it easy to set up books to sell there?

Universities are run like private equity. Might as well change their logos to the Jolly Roger. 🏴‍☠️

So if you want to avoid being trialed for anything, just go and make a big public mess of it?

As trad publishers use smaller and smaller font sizes, they have more opportunity for word spacing to be enough. The downside is that the tiny text is hard to read. My print titles are formatted to be readable above saving a few pages of cost. Less words per line = more need for hyphenation.

I use it with Vellum. It seems to work well. Without it, some lines would need serious playing with tracking etc. and may ultimately still look ugly. Unless the layout is hyphenating every second line, I can’t see the point in caring. This is assuming in text above chapter book level.
