As an Australian who used to live in nearby Pleasant Grove I definitely miss the canyons and waterfalls of the mountain trails. But I do have beaches and rainforest now 🙂

Bit of a trail, that Nambour parkrun.
Did you see the friendly emu that wanders through the crowd at the start of the course?

When I lived in the USA there was a tradie whose van proudly advertised a "24 hour rooting service". That bloke must have felt tired by the end of the day 🙂
The zaké digital downloads are just US$1 for the rest of this month so it's worth checking out some other titles.
This one is my fave:

Continuing with the "S" theme, I am currently listening to "Stars & Silence" which is somewhat stylistically similar to "30.7.94" in its mix of gentle string based ambience and subtle IDM beats:

How serendipitous. I just finished re-reading Slaughterhouse 5 today.
Listening to the more upbeat echospace treats this weekend:

I have that 12", and a bunch of others by The Beloved: The Sun Rising, Your Love Takes Me Higher, etc. Those were some halcyon years. But the extended mix of Time After Time is probably my favourite.
Three of my faves:
Simple Minds - Someone Somewhere In Summertime
The Cure - Charlotte Sometimes
The Korgis - Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime
That cover reminds me of a System 7 album, to reinforce the extremely 90s sci-fi-tinged ambient techno vibes.
Queensland in the spring: green grassy hills, purple jacaranda trees, and the distinctive forms of the Glasshouse Mountains in the distance.

Gotta have at least one Strayan series in the list 🙂
I have an omnibus edition of McCarthy's border trilogy (which includes All The Pretty Horses) but haven't read it yet. Still need a break after finishing Blood Meridian and The Road 😕
Mystery face at Torrington in NSW 🙂
A good starter pack, but I don't see "PetroDragonic Apocalypse" in that screenshot 🙂
Nice little slot canyon. Did a long hike through there when I lived in Utah. And other great sights nearby such as Factory Butte and Capitol Reef.
I’ve probably played these 1995 releases the most:
“The Diamond Sea” - Sonic Youth
“!ive” - Speedy J
“100% Fun” - Matthew Sweet
“Alternative” - Pet Shop Boys
“A Blessing Of Tears” - Robert Fripp
Noice.
Kinda reminds me of Spooky's release "Found Sound" from back in the day.
spookyuk.bandcamp.com/album/found-...
Noice.
Similarly, I was doing some work in the wee small hours last night, listening to this release with 2x60 min slow bluesy guitar grooves, almost ambient in that "blend into the background" way, perfect for long sessions of concentration:
stonerebel1.bandcamp.com/album/light-...
Great album, although I prefer the previous album with a similarly wordy title "Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Die, etc etc". Saw them on stage a few times, in Brisbane and Salt Lake City, always a loud experience 🙂
I have that 12". Thanks for the reminder to give it another spin 🙂
Please excuse the crappy post- processing. Need more practice here 🫤

Long weekend road trip: Dangar Falls at night, with the Milky Way rising vertically in the background.
All alone in the dark, at 3:00am, getting drenched with spray from the falls. Such fun 🙂
