Alex joined us last month as a Research Assistant. He will initially be working on a range of projects related to environmental #AMR. Alex completed a Master’s at the University of Bonn where he investigated the selection of AMR soil bacteria under sub-inhibitory concentrations of antibiotics 💊

We process our monitoring samples in a variety of ways, which include #phenotypic testing for #AMR, as well as using #molecular methods such as #qPCR and #sequencing to look for specific antimicrobial resistance genes 🦠🧬👩‍🔬🧫
