I was a #refugee. English was my 2nd language. I am an #NIH funded #physician-researcher who believes in science & human compassion. I am a #childlesscatlady. I am well aware that I am everything this administration hates, and I have no intention of going quietly into the night. #medsky

Well folks, I started a THIRD Healthcare Pack.

In addition to traditional professions, I’m adding administrators, HR, Medtech, software for Healthcare, Dental hygienists, etc

Please put something in your bio and FOLLOW me. I will catch it and add you to this group.

I'm about to lose my PhD, who wants to guess why? Oh I'll put it below anyways

Cause I can't pay tuition even though I haven't been in the university for over 1 year and have not been paid a stipend πŸ™ƒ

Might I add for kicks and giggles. I haven't been paid any grad stipend since my first defense. You know cause it's not like I need a living or anything like that

This must not be 2025. Nothing is making sense anymore

🚨Please call your house representative today and tell them no to slashing $800+ billion from Medicaid. This call to action is ESPECIALLY important for people who live in Republican districts. Please share far & wide and encourage everyone you know to call. 202-224-3121.

Cuts to Medicaid are deadly.

I'm honestly starting to regret this PhD. It's done more harm to me than I want to count. Nothing like hearing that tuition I can't afford would be a reason for me to be unregistered from my program. Yes in Canada grad students are required to pay out of our meager stipends that I don't have

Wow, chaos has arrived with a lot of people laid off in FDA+NIH. Am I really living in 2025?

Fun fact, despite having more than 5 publications in the past year, apparently my committee thought I wasn't good enough

Child with alopecia from chemotherapy

Child with alopecia from chemotherapy

When Elon was a kid, survival for ALL, the most common childhood cancer, was <10%

Now it’s >90% due to funded collaboratives (high indirect costs) whose work ultimately SAVES THOUSANDS OF LIVES EVERY YEAR.

For other cancers there’s still so much progress to be made.

I think it’s worth it.

So, slowly going to share my story here. Because of how my committee was, I'm having to take more time than initially thought. Guess what? In Canada, you have to pay tuition no matter what. It's a crime considering I'm not even getting a stipend. I thought I was getting out of financial hardship....

Politics and Protest in South Korea Timeline | East Asian Studies Center Return to film guide Colonial Period (1910-1945)

To South Korea's short lived martial law, history is recorded for a reason. There are reasons why even dramas share the protest that happened in history.

Too early to mention that a copy of Managing Your Mental Health During Your PhD might make a nice Christmas gift for a PhD student in your life?

I feel so disregarded from my university in the fight on my PhD that I should've gotten last year. I'm still paying tuition (yay Canadian universities) despite 0 stipend and literally my life has been on hold due to all of this. Not expecting much to happen from this post but wanted to vent a bit
