Fabulous visit to Pump Street Bakery last week. We got to make a bar of chocolate which I have gifted to myself for my birthday later this week. Guess what I put in it?!

Baking macrons from the La Duree cookbook as was intrigued by the addition of melted chocolate. Overall verdict is that they are a lot grainier than using Italian meringue but I like the chewier texture. Will share finished results later
The only pic I managed to take last night at Enfield Waterstones Summer Social. Lovely chatting to so many of you. Thanks for stopping by.

Scrambled eggs on toast for me but would much have preferred yours.
A vibrant field of sunflowers in full bloom stretches into the distance under a bright blue summer sky. The tall green stalks are topped with large yellow blossoms, some facing the sun, others tilting playfully. Trees line the horizon in the background, framing the joyful, sun-drenched scene.
