Globally, wild grasslands and wetlands are being destroyed for agriculture 4x faster even than forests, with 67% of that for livestock.
We can't keep ignoring the elephant in the room: animal farming is killing our living planet.

This research paper is the first time that a tipping point of a switch from a carbon sink to a carbon emission source in tropical rainforests has been identified clearly – not just for one year but for the last 20 years. Cause is a change in the local climate. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Well, that doesn't help when you claim "Turns out Epstein invented Bitcoin" based on a fake screenshot, does it? It really doesn't take much effect to verify before you post stuffs. Unless you have the intent to muddy the water here. That first screenshot didn't even "try" to appear authentic.
Or maybe it’s a fake screenshot?

“This work shows what is possible when science, experience and long-term commitment come together. The return of native birds nesting again in the Te Ngāherehere o Kohukohunui, is a powerful signal these forests are healthier and more resilient.”

While I fully understand your position, and I have no doubt that you find what they do to immigrants are not acceptable. I still think that phrasing matters.
it's ok if they were attacking immigrants like this then?

“‘If a fire occurs in the cabin ... don’t check on the immigrants. Just make sure that you and the guards and the people that work for the government get off," one flight attendant was told.

As a small present to myself I commissioned the talented @katiefullerart.bsky.social to design an old-fashioned bookplate for me, for stamping my book collection. Very pleased with the result!

What are the ‘social dimensions’ of moving species for conservation and why does engaging with them matter?

A team of 43 scientists says pesticide and plastic regulation needs a major overhaul. Full commercial formulations—often containing petrochemical waste and heavy metals—can be far more toxic than the tested active ingredients.
They call for stricter limits, full-formulation testing, & public data.

During my PhD i kept coming across this number about the maximum grid penetration for renewables.
So, I started to dig. Tracing back what references I could. Never found a single analytical or empirical basis for it. It appeared to have sprung from thin air based on some engineers' intuition.
Australia has recognised a fundamental truth: that *everything* depends on healthy wild ecosystems.
