A small crystalline structure from inside a geode reflects natural light
For some reason, my mind connected this image to the opening scene from "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" as the animation pans through the interior structure of the snowflake on which the setting takes place.

Thank you!
No bracketing here haha, this was taken with a Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens with macro attachment

A branch of moss reaches over a stick to absorb more sunlight
Such a shallow focus with macro photography, I love these little landscapes

A small twig lies at rest as new growth rises from its center, slowly being overtaken by the surrounding foliage.
This macro shot of foliage growing inside of a broken twig has a fantasy-esque feel in the scale and perspective of small landscapes. In my mind, I see a full sized tree being reclaimed by nature emerging from its center.

A water droplet hanging from a sprig due to surface tension demonstrates the plant's structure of tiny fibers that trap air between the leaf and droplet. A tiny sprig is able to prevent this water droplet from moving due to it's minuscule fibers along the leaf itself, trapping air bubbles between the water droplet and the leaf
A small sprig keeps the water droplet in place thanks to its tiny fibers on the leaf, which trap air bubbles between the droplet and the surface.

Ruddy Darter's conservation status is regarded as secure, and indeed numbers seem to be increasing in some locations.

A crab disguised in seaweed takes a defensive stance
Aw, the little guy just wants a hug
In a field of seaweed-covered stones, one rises above the rest. This landscape photo captures the scene, with the sun casting light on the foggy atmosphere.
One of the things I appreciate about photography is how it pushes me to explore new perspectives, often leading to moments of unexpected beauty. A kneeling glance at this stone, jutting out higher than the others, was one of those subtle yet surprisingly stunning instances.

A stone bathed in clear ocean water creates turbulence in the gentle waves that wash over and around it.
The texture of the water is mesmerizing

Thank you!
Wow. Truly talented. Love these illustrations
A small island of trees is bathed in sunlight, its reflection shimmering on the calm ocean waters, set against a backdrop of towering pine trees.

Saw some deer nuzzling their noses in the snow. 11/10 would photograph again.

A beam of light shining from the forest canopy highlights this parasitic fungus that sprouted from the nutrient dense carpet of boss blanketing the forest floor.

First time Iβve reshared this since taking it 2 years ago - not a huge fan of sharing old work though thereβll be a few on here likely not seen this image. Seems appropriate for the current conditions in the UK which makes a nice change π

Fierce winds drive off snow and ice from the peaks of Paine Grande in Patagonia's Torres del Paine National Park. There is a whole world of drama and grandeur to be found far above in the peaks of mountains, and especially so for Patagonia!
A moment of sublime beauty as heavy clouds slowly lift, unveiling the majesty that lurks behind. Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia, Chile.
A moment of unspeakable beauty as the last light of day touches churning clouds rushing over the jagged cliff faces of South Africa's Table Mountain.
For me there is nothing as beautiful as mountains emerging behind clearing clouds. It is magical and ethereal, and can be so in infinitely many ways. Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia.
A few reasons why I love clouds! π
