Called into #BintreeMill to look for the #BlackBelliedDipper late afternoon and luckily Richard Moores found it close to the white bridge #NorfolkBirding

Nice to find a #SnowBunting on #Cley beach this morning. An unusually mobile and flighty bird as it was chasing and catching flies #NorfolkBirding

I agree it’s a disaster for wildlife, all that work on positive net gain for nature on every development gone out of the window, people want nature on their doorstep. But I don’t read it that environmental NGO’s don’t stand to benefit, although I admit it’s more than a bit vague …

The obvious problem is that nature organisations stand to benefit from the bill and £££ to them speaks louder than those of us who enjoy nature on our doorstep

It’s been a challenge to get a photo of one of our local #LittleOwls as they rarely come out in daylight. Just about enough light at 9.26pm last night to get a photo, so I’m very happy 😁#NorthNorfolk #NorfolkBirding

Thanks James that’s what iNaturalist said too but my photo looks more like the Stag beetle in my Insect guide (Paul Brock) 🤔

Female stag beetle

Female stag beetle

Another exciting moment by the pond, a female #StagBeetle crawled out from under a rotting log, appeared to have a drink from the pond then returned to the log again #NorthNorfolk

Always a joy to see a #MistleThrush from the bedroom window and they're quite regular visitors here but this one was so close I struggled to get it in the frame! Raiding the Amelanchier tree for ripened berries. Taken through closed window #NorfolkBirding

So thrilled with how successful my new wildlife pond is after just 3 1/2 months, it’s so popular with birds & starting to look like it’s always been there, I set up a wildlife camera this afternoon - I am of course hoping for some rarities 😁#NorthNorfolk

This little story about Labour’s swift brick u-turn is getting enormous readership - so @teamlabouruk.bsky.social it will be hurting you. Such a simple, positive, happy, cost-free measure to introduce
