Ningauble of the Seven Eyes
Cleaning my desktop and found this little animation I did while re-reading Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser.

Farà quatre anys de la versió de l'esquerra i sis de la de la dreta. Hauria de fer una altra portada de Fafhrd i el Ratador Gris (segueixen sense publicar-lo en català i, per extensió, no demanant-me les portades)

Sketching for A Gormenghast inspired illustration
A drawing inspired by the novel "Titus Groan" by Mervyn Peake. Titus at his christianing, laying in the open book of ritual and staring up at the viewer with purple eyes

sketchbook page open to show two portraits in profile. They are skinny people, a man looking right and a lady looking left. It's Dr Prune and Irma from Gormenghast.
A thing about Bsky I love is every couple months rolling through the new #gormenghast posts and seeing all sorts of new art. I felt like I was alone with this weird book for so long, and now more and more people love it and share things.
Anyway here's some Prunes.
Oh, this is awesome. Gormenghast is the last thing I expect to find in my timeline (or almost anywhere, tbh)

A drawing of Severian from the Book of the New Sun, based on a scene from the first half of Claw of the Conciliator. He looks apprehensive, leaning back a little with his hands slightly raised as if flinching slightly. Behind him is the figure of a woman—Thecla, or Saint Katherine—with long, flowing hair that drapes over his shoulders and billows out around him. Her eyes are closed and her expression is neutral, but her eyebrows are raised, almost furrowed. There is a gash across her neck, and blood spews out, almost in a starburst in front of her. Some of the blood runs down Severian’s forehead and into his face like a tear. Behind the woman’s head, there is a starburst almost like a halo, continuing the pattern made by the jetting blood. Behind them/surrounding them are twisting vines and roots and branches. On the left, roses. On the right, nenuphars. One of the woman’s hands caresses Severian’s chest, just above the scar left by the avern. Other starburst and flashes of light are scattered across the image, as if flung off by the woman’s halo.
“Please,” a voice beside me said, “where did the lady go?… I could only see her because she was darker than the shadows, but I could tell she was a lady by the way she walked. When I came to see who it was, there was nobody here but you.”
Book of the New Sun
Digital book of the new sun fanart. A giant Thecla is holding a little Severian in her hands. The scene is underwater. Thecla is a pale woman with elf like features, her hands forms a sort of cup about her face. On this surface, Severian who is about the size of one of her hand, is sprawled around like attempting to climb her sexily.

Illustration based on the first entry in Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun, featuring the protagonist, Severian holding the sword "Terminus Est" in front of him atop a strange otherworldly platform. The Illustration is an homage/recreation of Don Maitz' original cover for the novel.

fafhrd and the gray mouser; a quick attempt
An illustration commemorating M. John Harrison's Viriconium novels, showing different elements (a horse's skull, a distorted insect's wing and a sword) coming together in an abstract conglomeration.
More Viriconium!
Figured I'd illustrate a piece that would theoretically be on a boxset containing the four volumes.
