Now the the testers for #ProjectRedSun 's demo have had a chance to discover it, I'd like to share the newest enemy type from the Christmas update to the test build.

Small progress today, mainly spent changing debug controls to actual physically digital buttons.

Going to try tackling a transition screen between the play area and the shop next, hopefully I'll get that done this weekend with a new update in a few days

Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor
Years later and I still think about this game. Sometimes I boot it up just to walk around again. Atmosphere rich.

Funnily enough also messing around with isometric with SLD and Go at the moment. Looking good, better than mine so far, nice angles on the shadows...

Like #SlayTheSpire or similar & can't find anything good to play? #Conjury is seriously good & not enough people know about it - my short review is here unklnik.com/posts/conjur...

Stupid code is not stupid if it works for you.

Made a simple elastic collisions with naive object querying (every object loops over every other object) and simplest optimizations (if velocity is 0 then don't query).

Still don't know if I need it. Also maybe gonna try Box2D.

Replayed #Starfield & it's good following updates, though still not the great game I was expecting from #Bethesda. Being almost free on Game Pass, it's still a lot of fun for a little money & worth playing if you haven't. My thoughts (that no one read) at time of release unklnik.com/posts/starfi...

Not a lot of people speak Russian in my country so that may be the reason, not sure how many Russians use Bluesky, maybe post in English (use Google Translate) and use #interesting hashtags and your posts will appear in more search results

raylib - examples Check the full set of raylib examples... they are amazing!

Raylib makes putting graphics on screen with Go A LOT easier, there are not a lot of well-maintained repositories/libraries for graphics related stuff for Go. There are also bindings for Raylib in many languages so you can get help easily when you are stuck - examples www.raylib.com/examples.html

Yeah, I have also tried Ebitengine, it is limited to 2D though and Raylib is based on OpenGL (though much easier) so it can do 3D, also a lot of support in the Raylib Discord as there are bindings for many languages. There are some examples here www.raylib.com/examples.html

So happy to finally see this in action: here's a #golang backend moving characters along a NavMesh and streaming position data to the clients 😅 #gamedev

Older game I recently discovered if you were a fan of old school #RPG games like Ultima or Eye of the Beholder then #Delver is a modern(ish) (2018) 3D roguelite take on a classic dungeon crawler - my short review

Tendryll >> Game Review A winding stem for a climbing plant? Apart from the name, which seems to have little relation to the game itself, Tendryll is a game to buy or put on your wishlist right now if you are a fan of games ...

Liked #IntoTheBreach then if you haven't played it #Tendryll is definitely worth it, though still in early access, it is very polished, lots to unlock & a lot of fun - my short review is here unklnik.com/posts/tendry...
