Most spoken foreign languages in the EU:
English is spoken by about half of the Europeans (47%) as a foreign or second language, notably increasing 5 percentage points since 2012. 7 out of 10 young Europeans can have a conversation in English, which is 9 percentage points more than in previous survey.  After English, French (11%) German (10%) and Spanish (7%) are the most spoken foreign languages in the EU.
