We went mixed-agility at my previous school and I didn't think it allowed for adequate stretch.

I often perform a graph dance for students so they can recognise the shapes. The reciprocal graph requires a fair bit of agility.
I'm feeling FOMO looking at all the #MathsConf40 posts. @lasalleed.bsky.social any chance the next one could be south of the M4? π
As requested, Exit Tickets created using the Question Generator are now available in multiple layouts.
Select 2, 4 or 6 'tickets' per page on the 'Customise' step of the Question Generator
This is immense! Thank you so much from my department!
And I much prefer this approach to the "multiply by the denominator squared". IME, students don't understand why this works and they often neglect the fact that some of the inequalities are strict. I would still show them this approach, but it's not the one I would choose to use.
I am sure this is what you do!
Like a lot of topics, I think if you only show the students one way, it runs the risk of them forming an algorithmic, rather than a conceptual understanding. Linking this method to graphs, so they understand why the asymptote creates a strict inequality, would cement understanding.
I like this approach too.
I conquered a big hill twice today, which was very satisfying!
I'm not there, but hi Matt! All the best for your workshop.

Immense. Thank you!
It would be helpful to have some different size options for exit tickets (A5 would be perfect) so there is enough space for working out π

I think the older ones are over it, but my daughters (9 and 6) are still obsessed!
My school is looking for a Lead Teacher of Computer Science. We are offering GCSE for the first time from September. This is a really exciting opportunity for someone to design our provision from scratch. Happy to answer any questions. Please share.

Used this lovely task from Underground Maths with year 12 today. I love that it has no calculating, itβs all reasoning. π₯°π undergroundmathematics.org/calculus-mee... #MathsToday #ALevelMaths
I've finally put together a blog about all the changes I've been making to the sequence in which we teach A Level Maths. Let me know if you have any thoughts or questions! sxpmaths.wordpress.com/2026/03/26/a... @tickyvanner.bsky.social @runningstitch314.bsky.social
Made this for year 12 to practice discernment with differentiation. Took far longer to plan and write than it did for them to do it, but hopefully it helps consolidate and make meaning between sentences and expressions/equations! #MathsToday #ALevelMaths
