Must be like many families who had people in police/army and on the side of the republicans. Sad story.

In honour of #WorldEarthDay here are some images of the wonderful wildlife you can encounter on the Great Saltee Island.
I have visited the island a number of times now, due to my obsession with puffins I have tried to make it an annual tradition!

I don't want civil incredulity from the opposition on this. I want fire and brimstone rage. I want to hear unparliamentary language hurled at the scumbags enabling it.
We're well past the line in the sand where we should have said no more. This is madness #spéirgorm
“Reform plagued by vetting issues”
Candidates found to have “grotesque” views.
Come on. It’s not the vetting, is it.
It’s the party. Whatever they do, they’ll always attract the racists, homophobes, misogynists and haters. Because that’s Farage. That’s Reform.

The decision to no longer enforce mandatory seat belts may lead to more people dying in car crashes, anyone with a brain says
Separate photos of Hank Williams playing guitar and singing with a sneer, and Jack Benny holding his hands to his face. Both from around 1950.
1/15
As a fan of both, I was intrigued to see vaudeville/radio comedian Jack Benny mentioned in a biography of Hank Williams. It was only a brief mention, but the context was interesting, as was the fact that their paths even crossed at all.

With no disrespect at all to Deputy Nash here, the minutae of the proposal are not the problem. The very idea is outrageous.
Creating a backyard slumlord industry is a preposterous and violently damaging idea that will do generational harm to people, infrastructure, and our country. #spéirgorm
A tattooed Western man wearing black trousers and a graphic design grey t-shirt with an outline of Gandhi on the front sits on a red plastic stool drinking masala chai (spiced tea). Resting peacefully on the pavement beside him are two Indian pariah (street) dogs known for being resilient and adapting well to town and city environments. In the background, an elderly beggar woman is sitting on steps nearby, her chappals (sandals) and a long bamboo stick by her side. 🐕 “... I look up and I see God. When the Laffans were disposed the new landholders eventually built a new home, Spring Hill; in the 19thC a Laffan returned to lease the house, he was the PP of Killenaule and built the imposing new RC chapel open to street by demolishing street-facing houses he owned, a real "we're back" statement
