This week the ARC should release Expressions of Interest outcomes for Discovery Projects.

Should be Wed–Fri. They’re not public, so my bot cannot track them.

The ARC should email applicants, and maybe tweet(?), to say outcomes are available in RMS.

A study finds per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), known as “forever chemicals,” in water treatment effluent. Up to 23 million Americans drinking water from downstream of wastewater discharges may be exposed to hazardous levels of PFAS. In PNAS: www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

My 2024 reading recap.
Read 10 books this year (I wish had time for more), and these 3 stood out:
* Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek.
* The Diary of a CEO by Steven Bartlett.
* When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi.

Day 2 of the Australasian Electrochemistry Symposium #AES24.

What a wonderful event so far with a brilliant group of people.

I've heard talks from #ozchem ists from biosensors through to large scale Aluminium refining.

Some amazing learnings from fundamental to applied #electrochem!

The iconic LIMS1 scientific research building at La Trobe Unviersity, taken from the Level 2 walkway outside of the library overlooking the LIMS courtyard. It's dusk, and building is lit up in contrast to the darkening blue sky.
