It's easy to lose the substantive win here in the Government's transphobic framing. Last summer, we expected the Code to be forced through without scrutiny. Instead, they have had to amend it and recognise they got their legal analysis wrong. It was our community's hard work that achieved this.
New EHRC guidance is coming in May.
There are signs it may be improved.
But the impact of the last year?
That doesn’t just reset.
Now the focus is on what comes next —
and whether it actually works in practice.

The UK has fallen from 1st to 22nd within Europe, on LGBTQ-focused protective legislature. It's narrowly ahead of Albania - a Muslim country - and dead last in western Europe. This is owing to a surge in anti-LGBTQ sentiment that needs FAR more attention than you or your party have given it.
Where is the line between lawful speech and hate speech?
The real question isn’t “Do I agree with this?”
It’s “Does this meet the legal test?”

Almost everyone is getting this judgment wrong.
The law treats workplaces and public venues differently.
Which means a trans person could have to use one toilet while working — and another when they clock off.
