An early spring mountain landscape with a large larch tree in the foreground and a stone hut in the background. The scarcity of surrounding trees indicates that the location is the maximum altitude above which they no longer grow.

I asked Kevin Warsh whether his secret $100 million was invested in any companies affiliated with the Trump family, Chinese-controlled companies, or financing vehicles set up by Jeffrey Epstein.
He refused to answer.
Police confronted hundreds of animal rights activists in Wisconsin as they attempted to rescue about 2,000 dogs from a facility that breeds beagles for medical experimentation.

Sen. Warren: "Did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election?"
Handsome Kevin: "ummm... errr... "
His response raises real questions about whether Warsh is independent of the President and if he has the courage to tell hard truths.

Like so much else Trump has done, he’s turned what was once a great department into a fucking mess. And it frankly breaks my heart.

Photo of a large group of catmint in the ground with small blue flowers just beginning to bloom. There is a rogue Lenten rose in the pic as well, on the right side of the photo.

A male stonechat with a black head, white neck patch, and warm orange chest perches upright on a curved stem of bright yellow rapeseed flowers. It stands above a dense, softly blurred field of matching yellow blooms, creating a glowing golden backdrop. The bird faces slightly to the right, sharply in focus against the hazy sea of colour.
Good morning. Today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Petals&Perches any bird with flowers in capture. The alt is #WhatTheFlock any capture of three or more of the same bird. Good luck. #birds #photography #ECK

This macro photograph captures the unopened bud of a striped tulip, covered in fine drops of dew. Description and Variety The flower has a classic goblet shape. Its petals are white and creamy with vibrant, artist-painted purple or crimson strokes. The plant's appearance is typical of modern varieties of the Triumph group: Flaming Flag is one of the most similar varieties, known for its lilac-purple "feather" strokes on a white background. Rembrandt's Favorite also has a similar variegated coloring, reminiscent of the paintings of great masters. Appearance Features Texture: The petals are dense, smooth, with a slight satin sheen. Details: Drops of water are visible on the petals, highlighting the freshness of a spring morning. Greenish veins, often found in Viridiflora-type varieties or young buds, are visible at the base of the petals. Background: The bud is located on a long, straight stem against a background of washed-out green leaves, accentuating the flower itself. This unusual coloring may be a varietal characteristic or—in rare cases in older varieties—a manifestation of the variegation virus, historically prized in Holland for creating unique patterns.
The freshness of a spring morning... Happy Tuesday to everyone! 👋🌷🔆

A ruffled double tulip, its translucent pink petals fringed in white, is surrounded by curly green foliage. The petals are a faint pink at their tops, but deepen in color at the center of the flower.
Love at first sight! Bathed in sunlight, its fringes wavering in a slight breeze, this Queensland tulip became a fast favorite of the season. #TulipTuesday #Bloomscrolling #EastCoastKin #Flowers #FlowerReport 🌱 #Tulips #Photography #OnlyBeautifulThings #Spring
Collage of alder and willow: a mature weeping willow in an open field; a botanical illustration of Salix (willow) with long trailing leaves; a willow tree reflected in water; a botanical plate of Alnus (alder) with leaves and catkins; a tall alder in winter; and a riverside painting with willows leaning over the water.
21 April is Parilia, the Roman festival honouring Pales, a pastoral deity. It’s said on this day two fishermen refused to observe her rites. In anger she turned them into an alder and a willow. They still haunt the riverbank, the willow trailing branches like lines cast for fish.
A close-up photo of a small light blue flower with five broad petals. A purple bud is below, another flower from the side is behind, and a blurred background of green with dots of more flowers is beyond.
