And that’s a wrap on #ScrublandSuperheroes! Our final task at Wowo Campsite saw 18 people planting 1,500 shrubs of 15 native species, helping kick start the creation of a new scrubland mosaic. A huge thank you to all who took part 🌳🕊️🐍🪲🍒🐛🪵🍄‍🟫🌼 @wealdtowaves.bsky.social @kneppwildlandfdn.bsky.social

Window to stop decline of England’s nature closing fast, watchdog says Office for Environmental Protection calls for urgent action after finding government is falling short on most targets

Vital reading for the government with its current obsession with growth at all costs (growth of what and for whom is never spelt out). A commitment to restore nature was conspicuous by its absence from PM’s Plan for Change, launched last month - that urgently needs to change 👇

Elon Musk troll bots asking what’s the point in anthropology research because they think it must be just some agenda about plants 🧐😆

The taxonomic biases in biodiversity data are growing over time. The amount of data we are collecting is growing, but the biases get bigger. We need to make a conscious effort to study the understudied!

Better post something I guess ! A few jobs from the past weeks - currently overseeing a scrubland creation and enhancement project, but with overall focus on habitat mosaics and long term management plans for landowners. Been great working once again with rangers from Sussex Wildlife Trust 🍂🍃🚜🌳☕️🍪
