Drawing of red pony with mane and tail of flame.
Happy Chinese New Year - a little late but my Fire Horse was inspired by a pony I met on Ashdown Forest so it can't keep up with the bigger ones!
Sketch of signal box with real thing behind.
Painted sketch of signal box.
While waiting for Boots to open, I sketched the old signal box at Uckfield Station. Colours added later. #Urbansketching
That's lovely. Thank you for encouraging us while ##DrawingDiggingForBritain- it helps me see so much deeper.
I thought that was astounding. Such layers of history.
Artefacts including stone hand tool and Roman swords.
Nearly missed tonight's #DrawingDiggingForBritain - fascinated by the analysis that showed that a stone hand tool was used for grinding tin.
Thank you. Ferns are one of my favourite things. The ones that came out of the mine are so like the ones in our garden.
Drawings of Roman Stylus, prehistoric fossil fern and tree, paw print on tile etc.
Absolutely blown away by the fossil fern remains and intrigued by the iron-age dogs #DrawingDiggingForBritain
Artefacts including malted grain, a ring cairn, whetstone
With malted grain and a barrel hoop from the oldest whisky maker in the world, today's #DrawingDiggingForBritain had a bit of a theme going on!
Drawings of Woodpigeon, Blackbird and Thrush with list of birds.
My @RSPB #BigGardenBirdwatch is done. Fewer small birds because I am not using feeders this year but an absolute pleasure to see 6 Blackbirds and a Song Thrush raiding the little Crab Apples from our tree. Uckfield, Sussex.
The scabbard was stunning - and I could just see the guys smoking away while throwing dice and drinking beer.
Artefacts including sword and bone box
#DrawingDiggingForBritain I gasped when they slid the Roman bone box lid open. I could imagine the Roman lady or her servant using the ointment that was thought to be inside.
About on track for us (Sussex)
Catch Han Li and me on #diggingforbritain tomorrow night at 9pm on BBC2 talking about the incredible frescoes and finds from the Roman mansio excavated in Southwark.

Thank you.
Drawings of iron Carnyx, boards head; Wooden ladder, stone kiln etc.
So much to see in tonight's #DrawingDiggingForBritain - Athough the Carnyx and Boar's head standard were magnificent, my favourite find was the wooden ladder at Sizewell.
Thank you. It's an enjoyable challenge and I enjoy seeing deeper as other drawings and photos emerge.
I had assumed that these early ones were from the channel islands but the Cornwall daffs are obviously ready.
It was strangely touching seeing the young skaters getting involved.
Thank you. I've promised myself that I will try and make a comb pattern. I thought the variety of finds really shows the sophistication of the people's lives
I was amazed. It looks so delicate.
Thank you. Drawing really makes me look at the artefacts.
Roman bottles and other objects
#DrawingDiggingForBritain Really enjoyed capturing some of the artefacts shown in this North West episode.
Daffodils in a vase.
I wonder if that's where my Tesco daffs came from.
Minus 11 overnight - but the dawn light is lovely - Sussex #12DaysWild
Moon in pinkish sky
Loved seeing the Moon setting just as the sunlight was creeping into the sky. Buxted Park, Sussex #12dayswild
I think it is a mixture of the "heat island" effect and soil disturbance where building or other works are going on.
