After the recent storm, we headed up to the woods to check the trees and the feeders were standing. Thankfully they were, and the stars were already posing.

Dreamy conditions for photography but unfortunately that also means horrific for midges. I checked for a chick and nest before approaching (neither visible) and left after 10 mins, because I was being eaten alive.
