Dripping charm
Trying to capture me

There’s a wistfulness

Memories of once upon a time

There is nothing more sensational than the fragrance of petrichor through an open door, darkness seeping in, the night creeping through as I allow. I can never close the darkness out.

Spring makes love to you
in hazel and amber light
the fields smudged with smoke
the elms turned crick and turn away as

his mouth opened — nothing came
