Winter in an ancient beech woodland in Oxfordshire.
Autumn in an ancient beech woodland in Oxfordshire.
Hereβs a scene I love to capture, an ancient beech alongside a path - shown during winter and autumn. The trees trunk and branches gnarled and full of character.
The colour differences are both beautiful and fascinating - I love watching our woodlands change.

Taken during the annual meeting of the Lancashire and Cheshire Entomological Society, Bardsey Island. There is a story there that I'm not telling on here π

a gently bubbling runoff stream on the Gorge Path flows through the dense forest... a slight thinning in the tree canopy above the path lights the way, homeward bound

Hirtshals, West Coast of Denmark. I remember the dogs sitting quietly while I took this - maybe they appreciate a good sunset as much as we do..
