I am far more insecure than I like, so I’ve recognized that in him from the start. I’m just glad that mine is paired with some level of self-awareness, so that it doesn’t lead me to acting like him.

I still don’t understand why after a decade of this, reporters don’t support each other. When spokesperson or politician evades a reporter’s question, the others shouldn’t let it drop, and should drop their intended line of inquiry to press for an answer.

A good starting point would be transitioning to advisory roles.
