I would definitely learn ASL, it really show and it means a lot. Otherwise - if you want to talk, you can act it at same time, it’s similar to ASL but you’re doing the “action” hand signing.

I am just now finding out about Google ASL translator app. I’ll dig into it more. As for me - I have two cochlear implants. I rely on voice and lip reading. If I’m having a hard time understanding in a loud background noise - use the phone to type out everything. Now iPhone has LIVE captioning!

Exactly! I’d want to hear more about about what a blind colleague said.
I had a debate with one of the deafie - “I jUsT wAnT EvErYThInG ChEaP.”
We all do but it’s not happening during his term. 🤦🏻‍♂️

What’s more disappointing to me is that a lot of deaf people voted for him. They didn’t realized that their rights for accessibility (ASL interpreters) has been taken away and their rights as well. I’m very highly disappointed in the community I’m associate with.
